Since the late 1970's, incisional refractive surgery (RK) has treated nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism in patients all over the world, allowing them to experience a new kind of freedom.
LASIK evaluations are complimentary. Our staff will be pleased to assist you in any way possible and all efforts will be made to accommodate your schedule.
Your eye has a clear lens through which light passes allowing you to see. When the lens loses its transparency, the cloudy tissue that develops is known as a cataract.
Diabetic retinopathy is a potentially blinding complication of diabetes mellitus which causes abnormalities in the tiny blood vessels nourishing the retina. These blood vessels swell and leak blood damaging the retina, the light-sensitive tissue, which lines the back portion of the eye. Left untreated, diabetic retinopathy can result in severe loss of vision and ultimately blindness.
Our goal is to accommodate your distinctive needs. We offer a variety of services ranging from complete eye examinations (including refractions for glasses and contact lenses) to more extensive procedures such as Laser Vision Correction, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, and Diabetic Laser Surgery.
Our staff is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing your quality of life through state-of-the-art medical care.
For Dr. Scharfman, providing excellence in care means treating each patient as an individual with unique needs and expectations.
We’re committed to providing comprehensive eye care and surgery in a manner that emphasizes quality and delivery of care, the ethical practice of medicine, and a high degree of service and consideration for you, the patient. You and your care are our priority at all times.
